GRADING/SCHOOLOGY

Please ensure that you are checking Schoology at least weekly to keep updated on yours/your child’s grades. this is the best way to prevent grades from dropping. In the math department, the grade breakdown is as follows:

Unit Assessments: 20%

Classwork/Participation: 20%

Homework: 10%

Quizzes: 50%

You/your child will be given homework on most days. They are

responsible for making sure that they have

written down the homework assignment from the

whiteboard each day, no excuses. If they are absent, they will

need to make up any missing homework. It is a good idea for them

to write HW at the top of their homework assignments so that they do not forget about them as well as writing them in their planners. They can turn in late homework within 3 days when they return from an absence. If they do not finish your

homework or forget to bring it to school, it

will affect their grade.
